Starting December 1, 2026, Victor Kovalev, founder of the international project Potatoes.News na Njem Nduku Mba Nile (IPT), is leaving his position at the Agrotrade group of companies (the “Potato System” direction) to focus fully on developing his own international initiatives in the potato industry.
A new stage
Victor Kovalev has worked for several years within the Agrotrade group of companies, where he helped develop the “Potato System” (“Картофельная Система”) direction. Over this time, alongside his work at the company, he launched and grew two independent international projects: the news platform Potatoes.News and the International Potato Tour, a series of professional trips and events for people working in the potato industry around the world.
As these projects have grown, Kovalev has decided to dedicate his primary professional attention to them going forward.

“My goal is for Potatoes.News and the International Potato Tour to become genuinely useful tools for everyone working in this industry — a place for reliable, up-to-date information, and real opportunities to meet in person, see production facilities with your own eyes, and build lasting professional relationships,” noted Kovalev.
